ABOUT ME

Putting My Experience
to Work

I began my career as a public school teacher while working towards my graduate degree in Special Education. Since then, I've worked in the tech sector and co-founded an award-winning youth-focused nonprofit that provides unemployed and out-of-school young adults with career training and connects them to meaningful work. I'm a proud mom to a future CPS student, who will soon get to call himself a Waters Elementary Wildcat. As the current Vice President of the longstanding Greater Rockwell Organization, I work to support my neighbors and advocate for an equitable and welcoming community.

I am so grateful to have spent my career working in support of my community, and I am ready to take my commitment to public service to the Chicago Board of Education. I can promise a parent’s passion, an educator's perspective, a deep well of expertise in special education and post-secondary success, and the financial management experience to be a thoughtful, responsible, and strong representative for our district.

MY COMMUNITY

District 2

CPS School Board District 2 spans many different neighborhoods and communities. From Montrose Avenue all the way north to Howard Street, the map includes parts of Lincoln Square, Albany Park, Andersonville, Edgewater, Rogers Park, and West Ridge.  District 2 is home to dozens of CPS schools.
