Statement on the newly appointed Board President Rev. Mitchell Johnson
"I am disappointed to learn that Rev. Johnson, the newly appointed president of the Chicago BoE, has made antisemitic remarks. Such divisive behavior has no place in CPS. Additionally, his disbarment in Ohio and unresolved lien for unpaid child support raise serious concerns about his suitability for this role.
This lack of thorough vetting is alarming, and I believe a change in leadership is warranted.
CPS deserves leaders who are responsible, respectful, and compassionate toward all of our CPS families."
Kate Doyle, Candidate for Chicago Public School Board District 2
